Artists’ Tuck Shop is a curatorial project founded by Glasgow based artist and curator David McDiarmid.
We sell specially commissioned artist-led products and homewares that we stock and sell on artists behalf via our online shop, pop-up market appearances and wholesale partnerships with other UK-based indie shops and businesses.
Our artists receive 70% from sales of their products with 20% retained to cover Artists’ Tuck Shop’s running costs and the remaining 10% going straight to our art commission fund to kickstart new artist-led products.
We’ve also produced our own cookbook – with recipes by artists of course – and the proceeds are going towards new artwork commissions by artists featured in the book.
Through these means Artists’ Tuck Shop aims to boost artists’ income so they can drop hours from unrelated employments and focus more on developing sustainable, creative careers going forward!
We are currently working towards producing our own homemade snack range and organising some pop up restaurant nights (featuring art as well as food on the menu!) to raise funds for further art commissions.
